Best seller books range from the Bible to the latest Harry Potter series. If you are an avid book lover, then reading best sellers would be the ultimate passion. What’s more, there are so many best sellers every year, leaving us book lovers wanting for more. What is so incredible about the J K Rowling series is that all the editions have been sold like hot cakes. According to reports nearly 72 million copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows were sold off within the first two days of its publication.

The series have definitely left the younger generation wanting for more. Chicken soup for the soul has been a must for almost all libraries around the world. Almost every book lover is familiar with the Chicken soup for the soul; the book is comprised of meaningful short stories that touch you. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, apart from being a controversial book was also a best seller world wide.

Spencer John’s book ‘Who moved my cheese’ was loved by most book readers and was a best seller for months together. Book shop owners claimed that the book was in demand to such an extent that it almost went out of stock!

Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, which is more of a self guide than a novel kept the readers intrigued. This book by John Gray apparently claimed more than 50 million copies.

The Lord of the Rings which was later also made into a movie was a best seller too. It had sold over 150 million copies. It was a series of three books, namely The fellowship of the Ring, The two towers and The return of the king.

Among the most recent best sellers is the Khaled Hosseini’s -The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. They have sold for more than four million copies. It has lead to an increase of 34 percent rise in adult sales and almost £20.5 million through the first half this year.
